Beam Emission Spectroscopy Summer School

Beam Emission Spectroscopy Summer School (BESSS) is an international summer school organized in a collaboration of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) and the Wigner Research Centre for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Wigner RCP).

Aim of the BESSS is to learn the theoretical basis of the key high-frequency fusion diagnostic techniques, primarily the fluctuation beam emission spectroscopy (BES) diagnostics and gain experience with BES data processing.

ITER council confirms new first plasma date: December 2025

Following two years of preparatory work and an independent review, the ITER council has now approved an updated schedule that foresees a first plasma test in Dec. 2025.

New online course on Nuclear Energy now available

A new Massive Online Open Course on understanding Nuclear Energy was published on the EdX platform, which aims to explain the science and technology behind nuclear energy and the special features of this energy source.
