IPP Summer University 2015
Report by Alina Eksaeva. Powered by FuseNet

From the 14th to 18th of September I was a participant of IPP Summer University on Plasma Physics and Fusion Research. The summer school was held in a wonderful place on the boundary of Munich.

During the school a lot of interesting talks on fusion and plasma physics were held. In these lectures wide range of related topics was discussed and a lot of interesting moments raised. All the presentations were perfectly structured and amazingly presented. I am a theoretical physicist and that’s why the last lecture about Computational Plasma Physics was especially interesting for me. Also a very interesting talk of R. Pitts inspired me to think seriously about starting my PhD in plasma.

Anyway, all the lectures were quite interesting and they covered a lot of different topics and aspects of plasma – from environmental questions to serious theoretical calculations.

School organization was also quite good – a wonderful welcome party and final dinner were organized. These events helped us to know each other better and to spend a really good, unforgettable time together.

Especially interesting was excursion to the Deuches Museum. These two hours were really amazing and I hope that one day I’ll have an opportunity to come there once again.

I would like to thank all the organizers of IPP University for this wonderful week and amazing time in Munich!
