33th International Conference on Phenomena in Ionized Gases (ICPIG)

The International Conference on Phenomena in Ionized Gases (ICPIG) is a biennial international conference covering nearly all fields in plasma science, from fundamentals to applications. The 33th edition of this event will be hosted by the Instituto de Plasma e Fusão Nuclear (IPFN) and will take place from 9 to 14 July 2017 in Estoril, Portugal, which is a small city close to Lisbon. The conference will be covering both, modelling and experimental work, ranging from the basics of plasma processes to advanced plasma applications, such as plasma processing of materials, plasma medicine and fusion devices.

Conference programme

The scientific programme will consist of invited lectures, general and topical, in addition to contributed papers, for the first time in the format of oral talks or poster presentations. The programme is completed by one special session and a lecture by the winner of the Von Engel & Franklin Prize. Authors are requested to submit a one-page abstract by the 3th of March 2017. A preference for oral / poster maybe indicated. The final decission will be communicated to the corresponding author.

Venue

ICPIG 2017 will be held in the Estoril Congress Centre, in one of the most pleasant areas surrounding Lisbon. The venue offers an atmosphere both relaxed and sophisticated, due to the combination of a mild sunny climate near the sea, excellent food, a beautiful landscape and modern facilities.

Registration and more information

The registration fee amounts to €280 for early-brids or €330 after the 5th of May. The registration fee brings a complete package including a digital copy of the conference proceedings, conference material, coffee breaks, invitation for the welcome reception and the excursion, and a complete tourist guide.
