After the success of the 1st PhD Event held in Garching (Germany) from 13^th to 14^th October 2011, the 2nd PhD Event in Fusion Science and Engineering will take place from 22^nd to 25^th October 2012 at the Abbaye des Prémontrés in Pont-à-Mousson (France).

Organized within the framework of the FUSENET project (The European Fusion Education Network), the PhD Event provides an opportunity for European PhD students to exchange with each other and with researchers from the international fusion community on their work and to make useful contacts for their professional career.

This year, the program of the Event will alternate talks by invited speakers and by PhD students, poster sessions and round table discussions on challenging issues like the energy problem or the future of nuclear power and nuclear fusion in Europe.

The PhD Event is open to all PhD students working in the field of Fusion Science and Engineering and registered at a European university.

Accommodation and meals are covered by FUSENET. Travel costs will be reimbursed after the activity upon presentation of travel bills/tickets. We invite home institutions of the PhD students to cover the travel costs of their students and to nvoice the total amount to us.
