The virtual fusion exhibition and JET remote handling tool

Tool Name: The virtual fusion exhibition and JET remote handling tool

Author: The virtual fusion exhibition with Remote Handling control was developed by Oxford Technologies (design of JET courtesy of EFDA JET, information posters courtesy of EFDA and ITER).

Description: This application starts with a virtual exhibition environment, where you can navigate in a 3d space that features posters and objects linked to fusion research. From there you can navigate to the JET tokamak, see it from the outside or dive inside the vacuum vessel. In addition, you can also experience the difficulties of remote handling in a reactor, by controlling the virtual JET Remote Handling boom. Crashing it into the tokamak is fortunately not as harmful as in the real world...
