The 18th Laser Aided Plasma Diagnostics Conference will be organized on 24 - 28 September, 2017, by the Institute of Plasma Physics (IPP) of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. LAPD18 is the continuation of a biennial series that brings together physicists and chemists that apply laser-based plasma diagnostics to fusion plasmas, industrial process plasmas, environmental plasmas, plasmas for medical applications, atmospheric plasmas, plasmas in liquids and other plasma applications. Topics on hardware developments related to laser-aided plasma diagnostics are also welcome. Instrumentation developments related to laser-aided plasma diagnostics also received emphasis in the program.

Programme

The organising committee will select a number of speakers for general and topical lectures, but you are also kindly invited to share your latest research progress with experts from around the world during the symposium. Deadlines and abstract submission guidelines will be announced in the second announcement in March 2015. The programme will also include a welcome reception, a dinner at a boat with nice views from the river and live music and an excursion to Staropramen brewery in Prague. Venue

The LAPD conference will be organized in a newly refurbished conference centre of Hotel DUO in Prague, Czech Republic, which is situated only 12 minutes from the historical and pictoresque city center with an underground station right in front of the hotel. For conference participants, the hotel provides accommodation at a discounted price of 50 EUR per a single room. Breakfast, swimming pool and sauna entrance are included in the price. Please make sure that you type “LAPD” as a note while making your reservation. 

Registration

For students, the registration fee of roughly 250 euros (6500 - 7000 CZK) covers all the symposium material and the participation in the scientific programme, as well as the welcome reception, the banquet dinner, the necessary coffee breaks and the excursion to the brewery.
