Advanced Course on Engineering Fusion Technology (6 ECTS)

The course is open to undergraduate and graduated

from all over the European Universities

6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System)

The course is being held as part of the European Doctoral Network on Fusion Science and Engineering and will cover the main aspects of Fusion Engineering, with emphasis on Materials for fusion Reactors - Heating and current drive systems – Fusion Plant studies and DEMO. 

The course seeks to promote young European researchers by strengthening their knowledge in the Fusion engineering of reactors and also to promote an exchange of views among PhD students and lecturers.  

PROGRAMME:

- INTRODUCTION  on Energy scenarios for the next century and the role of fusion, The Fusion reactor  -  Fusion Plants studies, ITER and DEMO
- MATERIALS  for Fusion Reactors 16 hrs
- HEATING AND CURRENT DRIVE SYSTEMS 18 hrs
- FUSION PLANT, MANAGEMENT, MODELING, TECHNOLOGY 12 hrs
