The National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN) will organise the 2020 edition of the International School in Nuclear Engineering between January 14th and February 7th of 2020. The school aims at promoting knowledge in nuclear engineering (nuclear reactosr and fuele cycle) at a high educational level.

The 2020 edition offers six one-week independent advanced courses to be held in France, more specifically Cadarache, Marcoule or Saclay.

The courses are particularly designed for young researchers, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and engineers who already have a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering Science as a background.

The school presents the international state-of-the-art in the main topics of nuclear engineering:

  • reactors core physics;
  • thermal hydraulics;
  • nuclear materials;
  • nuclear fuels;
  • nuclear fuel cycle;
  • nuclear waste management.

3 ECYS will be awarded for each successfully completed course (of one week). Lectures are internationally known experts mostly from the Fench Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commision (CEA), the leading research organisation in France for nuclear energy.
