The virtual ITER tool

Tool Name: Virtual ITER Tool

Author: The Department of Intelligent Hydraulics and Automation (IHA), Tampere University of Technology (TUT)

Description: This application allows you to navigate in a (virtual) 3d-environment and explore the ITER components, either individually or integrated into the reactor. It is also possible to create walkthroughs (so-called tours) that allow the user to fly-through pre-programmed routes around the ITER model. These tours occasionally stop to give information about the presented parts of the reactor. At the end of the tours, brief quizzes are proposed. The quizze questions may be modified.

The virtual model of ITER components is recommended for individuals as well as for introductory courses on technological principles of ITER.
