Scientists and engineers from all over the world gathered to talk about the latest fusion technology breakthroughs during the 11th International Symposium on Fusion Nuclear Technology (ISFNT-11) at the Palau de Congressos in Barcelona, Spain.

FuseNet was also present at this most important congress on fusion technology in the world. In conference stand number 5, FuseNet highlighted its activities and its members with a series of posters.

Key policy makers from the European fusion programme and the ITER project opened the event, and highlighted the significance of fusion technology.

During the Fusion Road Map Panel session, leaders from major world fusion programmes discussed different international and national R&D initiatives to develop nuclear fusion as reliable and safe energy source.

The FuseNet stand, located in the center of the industrial exhibitors booth and conveniently next to the coffee corner, enjoyed a lot of attention. We had good conversations on how to promote and improve the quality of fusion education, and received interest in participation from several companies.

Some universities and research institutes got acquainted with FuseNet for the first time, and we are looking forward to welcome them soon as new members of our growing European fusion education network.
