Experiment: Electrical Probes in a Plasma
Location: Institute of Interfacial Process Engineering and Plasma Technology, University of Stuttgart
Description: Two different types of electrical probes are used to investigate the plasma parameters in a glow discharge depending on external control parameters: the single Langmuir probe and the double Langmuir probe.
Target group: The experiment is intended for master students and part of a general practical course. The size of the group is usually two students.
Use and access: Due to being part of a practical course, the experiment is regularly in use. Depending on the availability, use by other groups is in general possible.
