Plasma 2023

The Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion (IPPLM) is pleased to invite you to the PLASMA 2023 – International Conference on Research and Applications of Plasmas which will be held in September 18-22, 2023 in Warsaw, Poland.

Since 1993, the role of this biennale conference has been to boost the cooperation between European plasma researchers. However, in times when communication and traveling are much easier, we hope that our event may help in the proliferation of new ideas and inspiration for new collaborations and friendships between researchers from all around the world. The broad range of topics is especially advantageous for young researchers who are looking for subjects that may turn into their passion.

This year's event is not only exceptional because of the 30th anniversary of the PLASMA series, but it is the first PLASMA after ground-breaking achievements at JET and NIF. To celebrate these affairs, for the first time, we will organize two OPEN Sessions with lectures from distinct researchers of these facilities. They will depict the recent accomplishments from their direct perspective to a broader audience consisting not only of participants but other researchers, journalists, and all the people interested in clean energy resources.

The conference programme includes the following topical sessions:

  • Elementary processes, general plasma physics, dusty plasmas
  • Plasmas in tokamaks and stellarators. Magnetic confinement fusion
  • Plasmas generated by laser beams. Inertial confinement fusion
  • Space plasmas and laboratory astrophysics
  • Plasma diagnostics. Measurements and data processing, including AI
  • Plasma medicine, agriculture and environmental applications

Please visit https://plasma2023.ipplm.pl/ for further information and to apply for participation. The deadline for conference registration and early registration fee is open until 30th June 2023. Cost: Students and PhD Students: €400; Regular (before 30th June, 2023): €550.

The official language of the conference is English.
